Long before Magnum, PI put Tom Selleck on the map, Charlie’s Angels owned the world of TV private eyes. Nominated for 4 Emmys and 7 Golden Globes, including 2 for Best TV Series - Drama, Charlie’s Angels was a truly rare overnight sensation. The forerunner to modern day shows such as La Femme Nikita and Alias, creators Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts capped off long careers as showbiz writers by penning the unforgettable story of three sexy and vivacious private investigators. Executive producer Aaron Spelling (linked to innumerable hit shows such as Beverly Hills 90210, The Love Boat, Melrose Place, Dynasty, 7th Heaven, and Charmed among others) played a prominent role in the pop culture explosion of this series which witnessed the immediate mass marketing of Charlie’s Angels trading cards, posters, lunchboxes, and endless other memorabilia - including a full-length feature film of the same name two decades later (2000). Through the duration of the series (five seasons), the cast changed continuously as Charlie’s angels became media stars in their own right and left to pursue various opportunities in modeling, film, and TV. . .
Charlie’s Angels centers around a group of gorgeous female ex-police officers hired to work for the Charles Townsend Detective Agency. A mysterious multi-millionaire with seemingly unlimited means, Charles Townsend communicates with his girls via speaker-phone and through the aid of his personal assistant, John Bosley (David Doyle). Charlie sends the girls on various undercover missions and dangerous assignments where they apprehend criminals and pursue justice with a vengeance. The original angels are Sabrina Duncan (Kate Jackson) who plays the role of the “smartest” angel, Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith) who plays the part of the “street-smart” angel, and Jill Munroe (Farrah Fawcett) who plays the role of the “athletic” angel. Together, they unleash their collective talents on the criminal underworld, putting their own lives at risk in process. . . As the show progressed, Jill Munroe left as a regular on the series and was replaced by her sister Kris (Cheryl Ladd). The following year, Sabrina left the agency to tend to her family and was replaced by Tiffany (Shelley Hack) and later by Julie (Tanya Roberts). . .
The Charlie’s Angels DVD features a number of action-packed episodes including the series premiere “Hellride” in which the audience first learns of the mysterious Charles Townsend Detective Agency and the beautiful women who comprise the majority of its agents. When a female racecar driver suffers a questionable death, Charlie sends the girls out to uncover the truth. To get the job done, Sabrina poses as a racecar driver, and the girls discover the existence of a murderous conspiracy. . . Other notable episodes from Season 1 include “Bullseye” in which the angels uncover a drug-ring owned and operated by two corrupt military officials, and “The Vegas Connection” in which the angels and Bosley travel to Las Vegas in order to catch a deviant con artist. . .

Every great invention first began with an idea. This spark of imagination has it’s home in pure creative energy. This energy is available to all us. Whether you have always dreamt of writing a great novel or inventing zen fireflies that dance in the night, you owe it to yourself to let your imagination take you there.
Think for a moment what life would be like without imagination. In Stone Age times we would be barbarians sitting around a cave, freezing our butts off, because no one had the bright idea to start a fire. In today’s world we use our imagination less as a way to survive, and more of a way to reach for the stars-to live fully each precious moment on earth.
Albert Einstein hit it on the head when he said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create. “
Many people spend extraordinary amounts of time and money in the system of institutional education hoping to fulfill their dream. What they may not know consciously is that many times (not always) they are seeking approval based on someone else’s dream.
It’s easy to spot the approval-seeker when it’s not you. When you are the approval-seeker, you might be clued in by the constant state of angst that you are living in. Imagine living free of this stress.
The first step to living this way is to begin to make yourself a priority-you, not your spouse, and not your mom or dad. Let them be responsible for their dreams. Your dreams and your life belong to you.
Once comfortable with the idea of honoring yourself, make it your mission to understand who you are. Not sure how to start?
Find a quiet place to be alone, get comfortable, and close your eyes. Concentrate on your breathing, and allow creative source energy to flow into your body with each breath. Some refer to this practice as meditation. Remember imagination is pure creative energy-it belongs to all of us. But you can only access it when you honor yourself enough bring it to you.
Even though we all the same creative energy (some call this God or our inner source), how we create with it makes it personal. Your inspiration comes from your imagination, and how that manifests through you. Your imagination is nourished when you honor yourself by surrounding yourself with inspirational things or by being in nature. So, you need to know what you like and what you love. What scents, tastes, textures, pictures, and sounds resonate with you. Do not think about what your dad likes or your roommate loves-this is all about you right now.
Experiment by going to the movies, live theatre, ballet, and museums. Take a walk in a park, sit on a bench and imagine yourself as the giant oak-grounded with branches reaching out in different directions. To be like nature requires innocence. Look at everything through your eyes when you were three or four years old-before you began to be bombarded with the opinions and beliefs of others. Go shopping at the department store. Try on different kinds of shoes, pants, hats, and jewelry. Put Magical Fireflies in your backyard. Take a yoga, or tai chi class, and feel how this makes your body (and mind) come alive. Use your imagination to guide you on this fun journey, to discover that innocent explorer that is still inside of you.
Depending on the influences of your youth this process will be a relatively short one, or it will be one you will be enjoying for many years. But once you start, and begin to experience the ecstasy that connecting with imagination can bring, it will be difficult to go back to living your life based on seeking approval.
Don’t get the wrong idea here. The idea is not to become a selfish narcissist. The truth is you will never be able to truly contribute to the well being of others until you find a level of contentment with yourself. Otherwise you are just doing something because you think it’s the right thing to do.
Empty gestures are not recognized by the universe. Remember the law of attraction (like attracts like) works. If you practice insincerity you will be met with less than inspiring experiences. But, if you treat yourself with the care that your divine spirit deserves, your mind will be clear, and your body will become an open vessel. Inspired thoughts and will be like a zen gift from the universe. With this foundation your imagination will flourish and help you to create a life that is simply magical.

College hockey ha as solid fan base, and many students try out during college hockey recruiting. Hockey is a sport in which two teams compete by driving a ball or disc using a stick into the goal or net of the opposing team. Perhaps ice hockey is the most popular form of the game, and college hockey teams usually play on an ice surface. The NHL, or the National Hockey League, is considered to be the premier league in professional hockey. The National Hockey League rose from the dismantling of the league which preceded it, the National Hockey Association (NHA). After endeavoring—unsuccessfully—to resolve the disputes with Eddie Livingstone, then owner of the Toronto Blueshirts, various executives of three other NHA franchises suspended the NHA, and formed the National Hockey League (NHL). They replaced the Livingstone-headed team with a temporary one, located in Toronto, called the Arenas. Though a separate league, the NHL was considered a continuation of the failed NHA. The NHL borrowed the NHA’s championship trophy, rules, as well as the NHA’s split-season schedule. The owners had originally intended the NHL to operate for one only season. However, the NHA owners eventually suspended the NHA permanently in 1918, completely shutting it down in 1920. During the NHL’s first quarter-century, it competed against two rival major leagues: which were the Pacific Coast Hockey Association and Western Canada Hockey League. These three fought for players and the Stanley Cup. The founding of the Boston Bruins in 1924 brought about the expansion of the NHL into the United States. By 1926 the league consisted of ten teams from Ontario, Quebec, the Great Lakes region, and the Northeastern United States. Soon the NHL emerged as the premier major league, and became the sole competitor for the Stanley Cup. The league completed a deal with the Stanley Cup trustees in 1947 to gain full control of the Cup. A number of high school students hope to qualify for college hockey teams in order to advance their education, as well as their chances in playing in professional leagues. Try outs and assessments start in high school, in football as well as in other sports. For all involved in college hockey recruiting, therefore, information on college hockey and other details are important in getting an athletic scholarship. Fortunately, the Internet has proved to be a useful venue for both athletes and coaches participating in college hockey, as well as other sports. There are many websites and online forums wherein students and scouts can come together and interact about college hockey recruiting and other important information. D1Athletes is an online community wherein athletes and coaches alike can share and exchange information they need. D1Athletes offers them a place to build an online presence and gain important public exposure.

Dream

February 10, 2008
The day turned out to be very relaxing and invigorated us after the week’s strenuous and mind wracking midterms. At my age of 43, it’s not a joke to even imagine being able to come up to the expectations of my family and that of our friends much more my own presumption and belief that studying to be a lawyer and hurdling the bar exams is really within my grasp. 5 years ago, yes but not this time. Despite the good genes I got from my parents; quality education; right exposure & unending support from my family, I’m having a hard time memorizing and even concentrating. My classmates make “aspiring to be a lawyer” possible & easier. Regularly, we conduct group study and discuss our subjects. We learn from each other. Still, the exams turned out very hard and we felt like we were actually taking the bar. Friday night came too soon. We went straight to my house and asked my son to buy us beers. We felt celebrating and our spirits were high. Our exams are over at last!!!
And so, on this Saturday, my classmates and I agreed to spend time at the mall and saw “The National Treasure. ” My day passed without any hitch. I came home feeling the strain of our day’s activities. It was also drizzling and the night was damp, the cold wind breezed from the windows in my room touching my cheeks. The comfort I felt soon made sleeping easy. I woke up after an hour. It was past 11pm. I washed and shampooed my hair. The water was so cold but I still took a quick shower to freshen me up. Soon after, sleep came sooner than I thought. My hair was still wet when I felt my husband snuggle next to me. He came home later than usual from his “night out with the boys. ” I drifted back to sleep.
The dream came so close to reality. I mean, it was so real and the events came as if from the pages of a book I was reading. In my dream, my husband and I passed through a very difficult and life changing phase of our marriage. Turning back was just not possible. Emotions and sentiments were nowhere. We were numbed by our experiences before that we just stopped trying. He had series of indiscretions before but the “other woman” now in his life that he just can’t live without was also the same one who caused our near separation years ago. This woman came back for him bearing their 3 kids. It was so real I felt my own tears welled in my eyes. I felt the fast beating of my heart, “thump, thump, thump…. ” And I distinctly heard myself cry in anguish for the pain was unbearable. I felt being crushed to small pieces like an expensive figurine that once adorned our house and now being purposely ruined, crushed & smashed. No amount of piecing back the broken figurine will do. I was broken & smashed! The scene that followed was very clear…after all the hurts and after almost 20 years of hurting I was past caring. The hurt was so agonizing I held my breath longer than necessary trying to wake myself up. I told myself this is not happening. It’s all a dream. Yet things begun unfolding and the characters played their parts. I did fight for my man. The “other woman” can’t have him without a fight. But I sensed I was alone. Germaine was not with me. He was more concerned for the “other woman” than he was for me. And so I packed my things and left them. My kids went with me. The next episode was that of Germaine trying to sell some imported make-ups for P150. 00 to my teenager daughter, Jenny. My daughter asked him why he had to resort to selling those items. He said money was scarce to him and the woman. I listened nearby and felt so vindicated. It turned out that there were days I would go to our house to get some personal things of my own (my make-up tray was still in our bathroom dresser as well as all my perfumes and my clothes, shoes and bags). I reminded Germaine not to allow the woman or their kids to mess with my own things.
I was already with another man named Tony. He was a kind and generous person who dearly loved and lavished me and my 5 kids. The material things he showered us were nothing compared to the love, respect, understanding & kindness he gave me and the kids. I’d been so lonely & so “unloved” for so long. I hungered for this kind of attention. I was verbally abused those years I lived with Germaine. He loved me but I never felt it. Tony’s various businesses and hard work made him a rich man. So rich he can afford to treat us for vacations both foreign and local trips. Tony was not bad looking. He had a kind face and dressed like a typical “big-time” businessman. He was also just about my husband’s age. By the look of things, it seemed acceptable to both our families. Our separation was never an issue to anyone. Even to our 5 kids.
One day, while in one of our usual family gatherings, I heard Germaine tell our family & friends that he was working on his papers for a permanent stay in New York. The cousin of the woman he was living in was helping them. Germaine was waiting for his working visa. The woman was staying to care for their kids while Germaine secures a better future for them there. Hearing this, I felt my whole world crumble to pieces. Yet, I kept silent and pretended not hearing anything. That night, I asked Tony to let me see Germaine the next day. I told him that I need to see Germaine so I will really know what my real feelings are for him (Tony). Being a kind man, never short of understanding and compassion, Tony consented. He never asks me questions. He treats me like I was a priceless object worthy of his unfailing trust. He always takes things on a daily basis. Always believes in a person’s innate kindness.
The next day, I went to our house. For the first time, I talked to the woman. There were no heated words…no accusations…no insults. After she assured me that she really loved Germaine, we embraced each other. We were both crying. I asked her if I can kiss my husband for the last time. She said yes and left the room leaving me and Germaine alone. I was crying and so was Germaine. When he kissed me, I felt so sad. The kiss was nothing but a friend’s kiss. Gone was the passion and love he had for me. I knew in my heart at that moment that I had to let him go. I also knew that my love for him was still there but I cannot allow him to see what’s in my eyes. I cannot allow him to know what’s in my heart. Germaine embraced me so hard I felt he was hurting he had to leave me for her. Tears were rolling in his cheeks when I bade them goodbye. As I was leaving, I felt calm and at peace. I felt no hatred in my heart for them. I felt sad but I knew I had Tony. I consoled myself that things will turn out right for all of us. I cried so hard I ran out of tears. A sudden feeling of remorse hit me hard urging me to accept Tony and love him with all of my heart, with all of my mind and with all of my being. He’s the only one I have now. There’s no turning back now. Wishing to turn back the hands of time is impossible. I willed myself to feel good I had Tony. I remembered reminding myself to pinch myself so I’ll wake up…this is just a dream. This is just a dream…I repeatedly told myself. Yet, I distinctly felt the pain of losing my Germaine. Dreams are supposed to make us happy…my dream made me so sad and beaten.

Expanding past the shoreline of the Massachusetts Bay, Boston extends for miles inland. Boston was the largest city in America up until 1755. Unlike other early American cities, Boston suffered the most during the British clamp down on the colonies. This long historic past provides visitors with many small, site- specific museums and historical areas. The North End of Boston includes the North Church and Paul Revere’s home. A visit here will give the visitor an appreciation for the character of our Nation’s heroes. Walking tours of the historic areas are a wonderful way to experience history first hand. Guided tours of the Freedom Trail immerse Boston visitors in the daily life of the early settlers. The Freedom Trail winds its way around sixteen of Boston’s most famous historical sites. Across the street from the Boston Commons is the Public Garden. Visitors are greeted by gorgeous landscaping and the famous statue of George Washington on a horse. The beauty of the garden is just one reason it is so often used as a background by filmmakers and wedding photographers. For the romantic visitors, the Public Garden offers rides in the distinctive Swan boats. The story Make Way for Ducklings took place on these grounds and a sculpture in honor of this was commissioned and is on display. The Museum of Fine Art features collections from all over the globe, curator discussion on special exhibits and one of largest standing exhibits of musical instruments in the country. Monthly performances using these antique instruments are held inside the museum. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is a reproduction of a 15th century Venetian palace. Isabella was an ardent collector of paintings, rare books, statues, tapestries and much more. Her collection includes works by Degas, Rembrandt, Titian, Monet and more. It’s not easy to tell what is normal puppy behavior when the symptoms of bad behavior are similar. Puppies love to chew things, attack objects, and play with anything and everything that crosses their path.
This is all normal puppy behavior. Chewing helps to strengthen and clean their gums and teeth. Chasing objects is a natural preying instinct. It teaches them basic survival skills they once needed when their ancestors were wild creatures living off the land. Playing with objects is part of that learning.
Even puppies can get bored if they don’t occupy their time in some entertaining way. In fact, this energy and level of curiosity causes puppies to be easily distracted and exhibit a short attention span.
When these and other behaviors become exaggerated, they are abnormal behaviors that need to be addressed early. Otherwise, you could end up with a problem dog on your hands.
Let’s compare these normal behaviors with similar abnormal ones.
Easily Distracted
While a puppy will quickly leave one interest and move on to another, it is abnormal behavior when the puppy cannot stay focused for any length of time at all. If the puppy is to learn, it must be able to stay focused long enough to grasp the lessons. Puppies should be able to concentrate for at least five minutes or more. Those that can’t will be difficult to train.
Switching from one play activity or object to another is normal puppy behavior. When the behavior becomes exaggerated, the puppy likely is hyperactive. You are likely to need considerable patience to teach a hyperactive puppy.
Chewing and Biting
Puppies normally chew items such as clothes, books, furniture, tassels on rugs and other fascinating objects. They like to mouth the hands of their owners and nip at people’s feet. When puppies resort to snapping or attempting to bite people and other pets, or attack in a non-playful or threatening way, they are demonstrating abnormal behavior.
It’s important to teach your puppy from the start what is objectionable and what is acceptable behavior. Puppies will not outgrow their bad behavior. It’s up to you to teach them.
Chewing and biting is one of the biggest concerns for owners because puppies tend to get into things you cherish, like your favourite pair of shoes or the edge of a sweater protruding from the laundry basket.
Discourage Bad Puppy Behavior
When your puppy attacks in an aggressive, rather than a playful, manner it’s important to correct him immediately. Stop him firmly and tell him “No”. If he persists, give him some quiet time away from people and other pets but make sure he can still see what’s going on. Isolating him behind a closed door will cause him anxiety and lead to problems later.
After about 30 minutes, let him out again and go through the steps again, telling him “No” and removing him from the action until he begins to understand. Praise him when he cooperates so he knows he’s doing the right thing.
Make sure he gets a lot of exercise, as lack of exercise will contribute to boredom and bad puppy behavior.
If he continues to exhibit aggressive or destructive behavior, talk to your vet for advice. Ask if there might be a medical or physical reason for his behavior.
Encourage Normal Puppy Behavior
Because of their curious nature, puppies are always looking for new objects to play with, new items to chew. You can deter this wandering spirit by experimenting with different kinds of toys. See which ones he likes the best and look for more that are similar.
Rather than giving your puppy all the toys at once, rotate them. Puppies have short memories. When you return a toy after a few days, they will think it is something new and take to it readily. Allow your puppy to have four or five toys at a time and then replace them with a different set after a few days.
You’ll soon see how this technique can distract your puppy from going after your important items.
Toys you can fill with puppy biscuits or peanut butter make excellent toys for the treasure seeker. The work involved in getting those entrapped goodies piques your puppy’s sense of adventure and in a way, appeases his prey instincts.
Remember that all puppies are inquisitive and have an insatiable appetite for adventure, to examine every aspect of their environment and test their skills. Recognize when their actions are excessive and take appropriate action. By taking steps right away, you can encourage normal puppy behavior and look forward to enjoying a well-behaved adult dog.
